About the Role

The Civil Site Engineer will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of the Inland Rail Beveridge to Albury Tranche 2 Project. As part of our construction team, you'll be responsible for planning, designing, and executing the project, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulations.

Your expertise in engineering principles and construction techniques will be essential in maintaining the highest quality standards and achieving project objectives. You'll work closely with our team to deliver a high-profile major project that's shaping Australia's infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance of the works with technical specifications, applicable legislation, approvals, and standards.
  • Conduct and administer overall job planning and programming.
  • Input information and undertake minor design on site.
  • Monitor and recommend changes to design details to increase the ease of construction.
  • Exercise professional judgement in resolving engineering issues.
  • Demonstrate financial management skills.
  • Verify subcontractors' claims and variations.
  • Maintain drawing register controls for the project.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:
  • A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • A solid background in civil engineering, preferably with experience in construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction techniques, and industry standards.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

What We Offer

We provide a competitive salary of $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on your experience. You'll also receive great leave benefits, including 18 weeks paid parental leave with super and up to an extra 18 weeks of super paid on further periods of unpaid parental leave. Our flexible working arrangements mean you can choose how you work best, whether that's flexi-hours, flexi-parenting, or flexi-leave.
