About the Role

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in devising innovative engineering designs and administering their construction. You will work independently as well as supervise more junior staff with the support and supervision of Senior personnel in the Civil & Water Engineering Team.

You'll be responsible for managing and delivering key projects, including managing clients, staff, and sub-consultants. Regular reporting and liaison to the Team Leader – Civil and Water Engineering and project managers are also essential aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Manage and deliver key projects, including managing clients, staff, and sub-consultants.
  • Design and Development: Design civil and water works, including sewer, water, and stormwater infrastructure for various developments.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Communication and Reporting: Regularly report to the Team Leader – Civil and Water Engineering and project managers.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure activities comply with organisational requirements for quality management, legal stipulations, and general duty of care.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent and at least 8 years' post-graduate experience. You should also have minimum eligibility for registration as a C2 designer as per the Sydney Water competency standards.

A strong understanding of engineering principles, advanced capabilities in engineering software, and proven experience in road design, including pavement profile design, are also essential. Additionally, you should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to attend client meetings independently.

What We Offer

WSce offers a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your base salary, you will receive a bonus scheme and equity incentives. We also offer annual salary reviews, regular feedback, and structured training for professional development.
