About the Role

This is a key position within the Pitcher Partners Melbourne Finance team, responsible for supporting the Senior Finance Manager in developing, assisting, and implementing effective and professional finance processes for the firm. This includes both policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the reporting of weekly revenue against budget, providing timely and accurate financial information to stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of the firm's monthly accounting, including the preparation of general ledger reconciliations, bank reconciliations, posting of disbursements, and reporting.
  • Using our practice management systems, design, curate, interpret, and provide proactive business insights to various stakeholders, driving informed decision-making.
  • Prepare and post the weekly Concur file, along with associated month-end processes, ensuring seamless financial operations.
  • Collate and present extensive information for audits and tax reporting (internal and external) as required, maintaining compliance and accuracy.
  • Assist in making payments (domestic or international) and processing APS adjustments as required, ensuring timely and efficient financial transactions.
  • Support the Finance + Admin team in ensuring adherence to firm policies and procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business or Accounting)
  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Experience within a similar role, ideally within a professional services firm
  • Proficiency with Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and Accounting software
