Your Role

As a Financial Accountant, you will report directly to the Financial Controller and play a crucial role in the accounting department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing daily accounting tasks while collaborating with senior accountants.
  • Overseeing month-end reporting, ledgers, loans, and transfers.
  • Conducting monthly reconciliations with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Assisting with audits to ensure compliance and precision.
  • Handling customer inquiries through various communication channels.
  • Managing loan administration tasks for borrowers.
  • Overseeing direct debit processes and maintaining financial records.
  • Executing daily financial procedures, including reconciliations.
  • Supporting the preparation of redraws as needed.
  • Facilitating communication with auditors and meeting their requirements.
Key Qualifications

  • A strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and practices.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and initiative in financial tasks.
  • Excellent mathematical and numerical skills.
  • A high level of technical proficiency with various accounting systems.
Collaboration and Team Support

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with Credit and Broker Support teams to enhance efficiency.
  • Assist in the training and development of team members.
  • Engage actively in team discussions and meetings.

Your Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • CPA/CA Certification.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in an accounting role or similar position.
  • Experience in banking or non-banking lending sectors is preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as MYOB or similar platforms.
