This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, managing media and external communications strategies on behalf of our organization.

You will collaborate closely with a talented team of creative professionals to develop and implement media management, corporate communication, public affairs, and marketing strategies across regions, commands, and divisions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing media management, corporate communication, public affairs, and marketing strategies
  • Overseeing the production of news releases, multi-media content, social media content, speaking points, and materials for external communications
  • Managing day-to-day operations of the Media Operations team, providing specialist guidance to team members, and overseeing delivery of high-quality media services
  • Preparing and delivering media awareness and skills training sessions for staff as required
  • Providing specialist advice to colleagues on media, public affairs, and marketing issues
  • Identifying proactive media, marketing, and promotional opportunities
  • Preparing complex news releases, talking points, speech notes, and briefing material for use by executives or ministers
  • Representing the organization at meetings with clients, stakeholders, and sponsors

To be successful in this role, you should have experience in journalism and public affairs, as well as formal qualifications in the field. A willingness to work rotational shifts, including weekends, is also essential.
