Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing and Communications Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and proactive communicator to develop and implement marketing and communications strategies that strengthen our brand, drive engagement, and support our fundraising efforts.

The ideal candidate will have experience delivering integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels, be highly organised, and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. They will also have experience supporting fundraising initiatives and contributing to meaningful work in the not-for-profit sector.

This role plays a key part in developing and implementing strategic plans, driving brand awareness, and planning, managing, and growing social media presence and digital platforms.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality collateral using Canva, Adobe, or similar tools, supporting fundraising campaigns with compelling communications and supporter journeys across multiple channels, and working closely with internal teams, external providers, and PR partners to deliver effective campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Strategic Plans: Develop and implement integrated marketing and communications strategies aligned to our strategic plan.
  • Drive Brand Awareness: Drive brand awareness and integrity through campaigns, publications, and digital media.
  • Social Media Management: Plan, manage, and grow our social media presence and digital platforms.
  • Collateral Design: Design and deliver high-quality collateral using Canva, Adobe, or similar tools.
  • Fundraising Support: Support fundraising campaigns with compelling communications and supporter journeys across multiple channels.
  • Campaign Delivery: Work closely with internal teams, external providers, and PR partners to deliver effective campaigns.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and delivering effective marketing and communications campaigns.
  • Strong digital, social media, and content creation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a current Positive Blue Card and Criminal History check.
  • Experience in the not-for-profit, charity, or membership sector.
  • Familiarity with fundraising communications and campaigns.
  • Experience with using Adobe InDesign or Affinity Publisher.
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Microsoft 360.
  • Understanding of the Australian Defence Force and veteran families.
