Leading Occupational Health and Safety Expert

The Occupational Health and Safety Advisor plays a vital role in leading, facilitating, and implementing health, safety, and wellbeing programs and services. This includes providing authoritative strategic and specialist advice and guidance regarding the health and wellbeing of staff in line with our organisational health and wellbeing plan.
">- Advise on, develop, and provide resources to assist managers and employees to identify and report hazards, conduct risk assessments, and support leaders and health and safety representatives work through risk assessments and controls.
- Support the ongoing review, development, and implementation of occupational health and safety projects, policies, procedures, training, and guides.
- Contribute to the development of an effective and inclusive occupational health and safety culture across the organisation.
- Support health and safety representatives by responding to concerns or complaints.
- Coordinate quarterly forums with a learning and professional development focus.
- Participate in critical incident investigations.
- Expected to operate between normal business hours but be flexible to respond to emergency occupational health and safety critical incident support needs as directed by the health and wellbeing manager.
- Coordinate as a member and make recommendations to health and wellbeing committees to help maintain oversight and governance of all occupational health and safety related programs and initiatives.
- Coordinate, deliver, and maintain oversight of effective occupational health and safety induction, riskman reporting, and incident investigation training programs for staff and managers.
About You:
">We are seeking an individual with excellent interpersonal skills and experience in consultation to influence and engage at all levels of the organisation. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in OHS investigations, policy review, and organisational training and assessment. Additionally, they should possess tertiary qualifications in health, safety, and wellbeing and experience in managing and addressing occupational health and safety in the workplace.
