Compliance and Operational Excellence Specialist

This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring our operations align with legislative, regulatory, and certification standards. The ideal candidate will be able to contribute to the development and enhancement of business systems while driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create, update, and review procedures and management plans to ensure seamless integration and compliance.
  • Support the development and enhancement of the Business Management System (BMS) to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies, procedures, and process development to align with strategic goals.
  • Ensure the implementation of measures to meet regulatory, statutory, and client-specific requirements.
  • Manage updates to the BMS within the Management of Change framework to minimize disruptions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure system integration and compliance.
  • Promote best practices and compliance throughout the organization.
  • Mitigate risks and support regulatory outcomes through effective reporting and recommendations.
  • Coordinate and provide training and education on processes, procedures, and adherence to compliance.
About You:
  • Previous experience within the construction, mining/resources, or Defence industries.
  • Qualifications in workplace Health and Safety and/or Risk Management (Highly regarded) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in HSEQ systems development and compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitation, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Working knowledge of relevant legislative requirements.
  • Quality management knowledge (quality assurance and quality control).
  • Able to deliver effective training and drive continuous improvement.
