The primary purpose of the Senior Clinical Support Specialist role is to assist with process and governance management and act as an internal escalation point for issues with oncology clinical systems. Specifically, the Senior Clinical Support Specialist will ensure the requests and incidents that come through HEAT and MOSAIQ Community are addressed, managed and resolved within agreed timeframes.
What you’ll do:
- Drive continuous improvement with our clinical systems by regularly reviewing processes and procedures to improve efficiencies
- Prioritise people resources within their jurisdiction to maintain and exceed the defined Oncology Clinical Systems SLAs
- Ensure that clinical and operational aspects of Clinical Systems are delivered to the Oncology Australia business with the aim of ensuring full clinical operational functionality is always maintained
- Identify and advise of all areas of risk in both clinical information systems and processes and develop practices to mitigate those risks
- Maintaining IT standards across all systems under their jurisdiction
- Coordinating with the IT Service Delivery team to manage and support incidents and service requests to ensure availability and reliability of clinical systems is maintained
- Implementing and maintaining governance structure and compliance within Clinical Systems
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related clinical field, e.g. Medical Radiation Sciences or similar
- 5+ years’ experience in clinical oncology field
- 5+ years’ experience with healthcare IT systems as a superuser, administrator
- Strong platform knowledge including working with solutions from Elekta, Varian, GE, Philips and other radiotherapy platforms
- A sound understanding of business requirements
- Excellent internal consulting skills
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Experience with clinical systems desirable
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills
- Ability to be largely self-directed on a day-to-day basis
- Willingness to continually embrace personal and professional development
