Job Description:

This role is an exciting opportunity to work as a union representative, advocating on behalf of members and advancing their interests through strategic advocacy, disputation, and litigation in various Court and tribunals.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent and advocate on behalf of union members
  • Negotiate enterprise agreements and handle industrial disputes
  • Provide industrial relations advice and prepare case materials, including evidence and submissions
  • Apear in the Fair Work Commission (FWC)
  • Brief barristers and conduct workplace visits
  • Conduct research and analysis on workplace issues and policies
  • Facilitate training and information sessions for members

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Advocacy, negotiation, and industrial relations experience
  • Skills in case preparation and handling industrial disputes
  • Legal research and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Benefits:

  • $85-110k per annum salary range (dependent on experience)
  • 5 weeks annual leave
  • 15 days personal/carers leave
  • 12 Additional Days Off (ADOs) per year
  • Practising certificate/CPD costs covered
