Geotechnical Engineering Role

We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Perth, Australia. As a key member of our engineering team, you will work on a variety of projects, developing innovative geotechnical design solutions and collaborating with civil and structural experts.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and expanding their expertise in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment. You should have a strong grasp of engineering principles and mechanics, as well as experience in geotechnical engineering design and reporting work.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing technical reports, conducting site investigations, and collaborating with external partners and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop effective geotechnical design solutions across various scenarios and sectors.
  • Prepare technical reports, implementing advice into specifications and drawing notes.
  • Conduct site investigations, scoping, pricing, and delivering appropriate geotechnical works in support of larger design packages.
  • Supervise or train junior personnel in site investigation works to AS1726, where required.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Masters in Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Ideally 5 - 15 years of relevant experience in Geotechnical Engineering within an Australian Engineering consultancy, for either an independent specialist or multi-disciplinary team.
  • Foundation solutions (e.g., deep foundations, rafts, piled rafts, etc.).
  • Retaining wall / slope design (embedded, gravity, anchored, stabilised, bespoke/hybrid).
