Job Description

This entry-level trainee role is an ideal opportunity for someone with a career aspiration in human resources. The successful candidate will be participating in accredited training or have the desire to do so.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide client and receptionist services; dealing with telephone and front counter enquiries and monitoring, screening and redirecting emails in the people and culture email inbox.
  • Conduct routine administration tasks, as well as record and information management to support the People & Culture department.
  • Stationery purchasing and distribution, ensuring stock is readily available.
  • Support the wider team with project work.
  • Will participate in professional development opportunities as they arise.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to work effectively in culturally diverse teams within the social, political, and cultural environments of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, communities, and organisations.

  • Must be dedicated to completing a Certificate IV Human Resources.
  • A strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability are essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting timelines.
  • Read and implement Work Health and Safety principles and practices, and comply with Institute WHS Policies and Procedures.
