Job Description:

CareFlight is an Australian charitable aeromedical organisation that saves lives, speeds recovery and serves the community.

We operate across Australia with major base locations in NSW and the NT. Our team of specially trained doctors, nurses, paramedics and aircrew use helicopters, turbo prop aircraft, aeromedical jets and patient transport vehicles to provide critical support to patients each year.

The Human Resources Specialist will be a key member of our HR team in the Northern Territory, reporting to the Senior HR Manager. The role involves providing generalist human resources support to our business units and administrative support to HR processes, procedures and systems.

  • Provide full administrative support for employee records, onboarding and offboarding processes, reporting, ASIC applications.
  • Coordinate individual and bulk package/employment terms changes, including updating spreadsheets and preparing instructions for Payroll.
  • Champion onboarding, cross-boarding and offboarding workflows, recruitment and selection workflows, talent pool management and reporting.
  • Assist with IT and account creation, access and troubleshooting, and review and improve HR policies and procedures.
  • Develop contracts and other employment-related documentation using templates.
  • Assist managers and staff with queries relating to terms and conditions of employment, including Award and contract interpretation.
  • Work with the Recruitment Business Partner to assist with end-to-end recruitment processes, drafting contracts, pre-employment checks and onboarding.

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management or similar, approximately three years' generalist HR experience, intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications, and a good understanding of HR systems, processes and procedures.
