Claims Management Role

This is a challenging role that involves managing a portfolio of claims, investigating liability, gathering and analysing data, assessing claim value, and negotiating settlements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and negotiate claims through communication with solicitors or direct claimants by phone, correspondence, or attending settlement conferences and hearings.
  • Obtain and review medical, financial, investigative, and rehabilitation reports to assist in accurate claim assessment.
  • Ensure legislative compliance timeframes are met, reviewing ongoing medical, financial, investigative, and rehabilitation reports.
  • Adept strategies to resolve claims cost-effectively.
  • Ensure early access to rehabilitation for injured claimants to achieve optimal recovery.
  • Negotiate claims settlements with solicitors in line with legislative, regulatory, and procedural guidelines.
  • Provide excellent customer service to the legislative authority, employers, and injured claimants through legislation compliance, timely response times, and efficiency in processing.
Requirements
  • Sound knowledge and experience in handling CTP or personal injury claims or Law is preferred.
  • Tertiary qualifications, including Legal, Allied Health, or Insurance would be advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Pro-active and energetic team player.
  • Professional approach to all aspects of claims handling.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to listen, build rapport, communicate complex information, and negotiate with various stakeholders.
  • Strong administrative and written skills, effectively managing all claim aspects while adhering to NSW legislation.
  • Strong commitment and integrity to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to workplace improvement and changes.
