Residential Support Specialist

This is a permanent part-time position in East Geelong, for 28.25 hours per fortnight.
In this role as a Residential Support Specialist, you will provide extensive support to individuals with disabilities within a residential setting, covering tasks such as personal care, meal assistance, hoisting, and transfers.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Personal care: assisting with daily living tasks, bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Meal assistance: preparing meals, providing snacks, and assisting with feeding.
- Hoisting and transfers: safely transferring individuals with mobility impairments, using equipment such as hoists and slings.
You will be working in a team environment, collaborating with other staff members to ensure the provision of high-quality support to our clients.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who has a strong passion for supporting people with a disability. You will need to have excellent problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and a keen desire to enhance a positive workplace atmosphere.
To be successful in this role, you will need to hold relevant qualifications in Disability, Community Services, Social Work or equivalent, and possess a valid Victorian Driver's License. Additionally, you will need to undergo a NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance and obtain a NDIS Workers Orientation Module certificate of completion.
