As a Local Area Coordinator (LAC) at Feros Care, you will play a pivotal role in the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) framework within your community. Your mission will be to assist individuals with disabilities and their families in navigating the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with disabilities in creating personalized, goal-oriented plans that align with their strengths and aspirations.
  • Guide clients in enhancing their capabilities and exploring self-management and advocacy options.
  • Provide comprehensive information and support to individuals and families to access mainstream services and engage with the community.
  • Establish and nurture partnerships within the community to connect participants with a variety of service providers.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A sincere commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities.
  • Relevant qualifications in disability services, allied health, or community services, or substantial personal experience with disability.
  • Proven track record of achieving key performance indicators and targets.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse team members, both in-person and remotely.
  • Proficiency in technology, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A client-centered approach to maintaining confidentiality and professional integrity.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary due to the community engagement aspect of the role.
  • Commitment to embodying the values of Feros Care and the NDIA Participant Engagement Principles.
