Job Summary

The NSW Government is seeking a highly skilled Anatomical Pathology Staff Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality diagnostic, consultative, and procedural services in Anatomical Pathology, while participating in teaching, research, and quality improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide diagnostic, consultative, and procedural services in Anatomical Pathology
- Participate in teaching, research, and quality improvement activities
- Ensure a high standard of professional performance and promote an academic environment that supports research and development
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve quality patient outcomes

Selection Criteria

Applications are invited from candidates who possess the following qualifications and skills:

- Current registration or eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in Anatomical Pathology, or other specialist recognition as provided under the Staff Specialists (State) Award
- Demonstrated commitment to basic, applied, or clinical research and/or medical education and staff training
- Proven ability to work as a team member with effective communication, interpersonal skills, and adaptability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Demonstrated personal qualities including effective communication skills, motivation, initiative, time management, and commitment to professional development
