Return-to-Work Specialist Role

EML is a leading workers' compensation and personal injury claims management business. We strive to help individuals regain their lives through ongoing support during their return-to-work journey.

The primary objective of this role is to provide comprehensive solutions that cater to the diverse needs of our clients. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on someone's life every day.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist assistance and one-on-one support to colleagues regarding all facets of claims management strategy.
  • Collaborate with case managers to work towards safe and sustainable Return-To-Work (RTW) outcomes.
  • Engage in discussions with case managers to ensure soundly-based rehabilitation & RTW goals are established to allow for focused RTW activity.
  • Maintain engagement with occupational rehabilitation providers to ensure collaboration around safe and sustainable RTW for injured workers.
  • Offer specialist advice on complex claims strategy as well as undertake RTW activities, inclusive of direct engagement with external stakeholders.
  • Review and provide feedback on current claims management practices, ensuring emerging trends are identified and managed.
About You
  • Demonstrated experience in claims and/or injury management is essential.
  • Able to engage with external stakeholders to support outcomes for injured workers.
  • Sound understanding of legislative requirements and commercial contract performance measures.
  • Ability to accurately interpret relevant legislation, including Acts, Regulations and case law.
  • Experience in providing training and coaching to improve capability of claims team members.
