About the Role
  • We are seeking a skilled financial planning specialist to assist in preparing month-end and year-end financial reports with timely and accurate results.
  • This position involves:
  • Reconciliations, accounts receivables, payables, unearned revenue, expense accruals, income accruals, intercompany charges and eliminations.
  • Asset register management.
  • Covenant reporting for external financing requirements.
  • Tax compliance (BAS, FBT, Income tax) and position paper preparation according to AASBs.
  • Fortnightly payroll processing and assistance with related queries.
  • Ad-hoc reporting, including ABS surveys.
  • Implementing process improvements and systems enhancements, such as OCR technology and Blackline.
  • Liaising with auditors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Commerce, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years post CA/CPA qualification experience.
  • Relevant experience in public practice, top 4 or mid-tier firms, and commercial environments.
  • Experience in implementing systems enhancements, such as OCR technology.
  • Background in utility, infrastructure, construction, or property development industries advantageous.
