Job Opportunity

This is a permanent full-time role that requires a Medical Laboratory Scientist to work in a laboratory setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering operational laboratory activities, including the coordination and provision of scientific and technical training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver operational laboratory activities, including coordination and provision of scientific and technical training.
  • Review, develop and manage laboratory practices to ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures, quality standards and continual process improvement.
  • Utilize knowledge and experience in delivering pathology services relevant to the laboratory, including use of Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems and Quality Control Systems.
  • Develop customer-focused relationships with strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Science/Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent qualification with pathology-relevant subjects.
  • Knowledge and experience in delivering pathology services relevant to the laboratory, including use of Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems and Quality Control Systems; familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Customer-focused with strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; ability to report and document findings clearly.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines; ability to work both in a team and autonomously.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, analytical skills and initiative in a laboratory setting.
