We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise in laboratory operations and quality management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a range of operational laboratory activities, including the coordination and provision of scientific and technical training, as well as the ongoing review, development, and quality management of laboratory practices to ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures, quality standards, and continual process improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or higher in Science/Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent qualification with pathology-relevant subjects
- Knowledge and experience in delivering pathology services relevant to the laboratory, including use of Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems, and Quality Control Systems; familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; ability to report and document findings clearly
- Ability to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines; ability to work both in a team and autonomously
- Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical skills, and initiative in a pathology laboratory setting
- Understanding of legislation, policies, and requirements affecting the laboratory, including work health and safety and privacy
