Job Description

The Queensland Teachers' Union is seeking a dynamic officer to enhance our online presence and engage with members across the state.

The role involves managing social media channels, monitoring stakeholder engagement and branding, identifying opportunities for member engagement, analysing social media performance and providing strategic insights, and assisting with web content management, SEO and security as required.

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Experience in engaging and monitoring social media in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional judgement in a changing environment
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in communications or journalism preferred but not essential
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital communications, excellent written communication skills, and experience in engaging and monitoring social media in a fast-paced environment. A relevant tertiary qualification in communications or journalism is preferred but not essential.

They will be able to work closely with the Communications Coordinator to ensure our message resonates across all digital mediums.
