We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our Older Persons Mental Health Service team at Albury Wodonga Health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake specialized assessment, support, and treatment for individuals over the age of 65 experiencing mental health distress.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide a recovery-focused range of therapeutic interventions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of clients.
- Provide education and support to clients, their families, and carers to promote mental health and wellbeing.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency or eligibility for membership of the relevant professional organization.
- Nurses will hold a specialist psychiatric nursing undergraduate qualification, a Bachelor of Mental Health Nursing qualification, or a Postgraduate Diploma Mental Health Nursing qualification.
- Experience and demonstrated ability to function as a Mental Health Clinician within a multidisciplinary team providing a range of services to older persons, their families, and/or carers.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and its application to clinical practice.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
