About the Role

We are seeking experienced academics to join our team as Senior Lecturers/Associate Professors in Cyber Security at UNSW Canberra.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our School, with a focus on teaching, research, and industry engagement in the field of Cyber Security.

The successful candidates will be leaders in their field, demonstrating excellence in teaching, research, industry engagement, and academic administration. They will have a strong background in Cyber Security, with expertise in areas such as Management, Governance, Policy, Ethics, Risk, Crisis Leadership, Business Continuity, and/or Leadership.

The ideal candidates will have a PhD in a related discipline, with relevant teaching and course development experience. They will also have evidence of currency within the discipline area through research output, professional development, and/or industry experience.

The role will involve leading the implementation of curriculum development and improvement, as well as contributing to the development of new programs and courses in Cyber Security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and develop courses in Cyber Security, including undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
  • Conduct research in Cyber Security, with a focus on topics such as Management, Governance, Policy, Ethics, Risk, Crisis Leadership, Business Continuity, and/or Leadership.
  • Develop and implement curriculum development and improvement initiatives in Cyber Security.
  • Contribute to the development of new programs and courses in Cyber Security.
  • Lead the implementation of educational technologies, including online delivery platforms.
  • Engage with industry partners to develop research collaborations and projects.
  • Supervise HDR students and contribute to the growth and development of the School's research program.

Requirements:

  • PhD in a related discipline.
  • Relevant teaching and course development experience.
  • Evidence of currency within the discipline area through research output, professional development, and/or industry experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead curriculum development and improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to advance and lead an inclusive culture of excellence in research, learning and teaching.
