Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Manager to lead our organization's cybersecurity efforts. As the head of cyber security, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, framework, and procedures to protect our IT infrastructure and systems from cyber threats.

  • Develop and implement a robust cybersecurity roadmap to ensure our IT infrastructure and systems are effectively protected against cyber threats.
  • Collaborate with the risk and infrastructure teams to create a security risk framework, policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards to integrate into our overall IT security Roadmap.
  • Review, enhance, and maintain our disaster recovery plan to align with our business continuity plan (BCP) and ensure annual testing is conducted in collaboration with the infrastructure lead, publish test results, and make necessary adjustments to address any deficiencies.
  • Identify and implement key security initiatives and programs using a risk-based approach and recommend appropriate enhancements to strengthen our overall information security performance.
  • Oversee comprehensive risk management for cybersecurity and ensure we are proactively mitigating potential risks.
  • Ensure all current cybersecurity processes and documentation are regularly updated.
  • Ensure our information assets are properly protected to maintain their confidentiality, availability, and integrity.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all IT security tools and technologies.
  • Offer expert cybersecurity guidance to our tech team and broader business to ensure effective implementation of cybersecurity measures.
  • Plan and lead the technical response for cybersecurity incidents across our organization, while assessing the effectiveness of our current incident response plan against industry best practices. This may require adaptable working hours at times.
  • Engage with key stakeholders (both internal and external) to raise awareness of cyber risks.
  • Work closely with our clubs to provide overall cybersecurity support and advice as needed.
  • Proactively engage and work with third-party cyber vendors to ensure our information assets are properly safeguarded, including but not limited to, annual penetration testing.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, risks, threats, emerging technologies, and standards to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team aligned to our core values.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role leading an organization's cyber security effort.
  • Strong technical knowledge of security principles, including legislative and industry practices.
  • Sound knowledge of all areas of IT infrastructure.
  • Able to effectively manage both direct and indirect team members, prioritizing tasks to consistently achieve objectives.
  • Strong relationship/stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels of the organization.
