
Business Development Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing strong relationships with industry professionals, including architects, interior designers and lighting specialists.
- Fostering effective partnerships with buyers, encompassing electrical contractors, wholesalers, and end-users.
- Achieving exceptional sales results within designated client portfolios.
- Staying abreast of industry trends and demonstrating passion for innovative lighting solutions.
- Meting both non-financial and financial performance targets.
Job Description:
The role of Lighting Sales and Business Development involves gaining in-depth knowledge of our product portfolio and the route to market. This includes understanding our customized CRM system and operational processes.
You will be part of a close-knit sales team, supported by the State Sales Manager and National Brand Manager. Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining relationships with design industry professionals.
- Establishing effective relationships with buyers, including electrical contractors, wholesalers, and end users.
- Delivering exceptional sales results within your client portfolio.
- Staying up-to-date on new information and demonstrating a passion for lighting.
- Meeting non-financial and financial activity goals.
**Requirements:**
- Tertiary education (desired but not essential).
- A diligent and detailed work ethic.
- Strong technical knowledge and IT skills.
- At least 3 years of experience in specification sales and the route to market.
- Ability to learn our CRM system.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- High level of customer satisfaction through solutions-driven approach.
