About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Public Relations Specialist to join our Public Relations team in Sydney (with options for Melbourne, Canberra or Brisbane). This opportunity sits within our Govt and NFP team, specialising in delivering high-profile behaviour change campaigns that drive meaningful impact.

The Role:

As a Senior Account Manager, you will independently manage ongoing pre-agreed activity involved in the day-to-day running of accounts within Dentsu Creative Public Relations' Government and NFP pillar.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with managers and team leadership to plan and execute comprehensive behaviour change strategies.
  • Assist in developing and executing comprehensive public relations and communications programmes.
  • Build strong client relationships, leading regular client communication and work-in-progress reports to provide insights and strategic solutions.
  • Monitor media coverage.
  • Write across various materials, including press releases, news stories, articles, case studies and reports.

Requirements:

  • A good understanding of what makes news, how to develop story angles and confidently write PR materials to a high standard.
  • Ability to provide clients with strategic counsel on day-to-day issues, knowing when to seek input from more senior staff.
  • Capability to identify, understand and satisfy client needs, resolve problems and ensure tasks are completed effectively.
