Youth Mentor

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Mentor to join our team. As a key member of our community outreach program, you will work directly with young people aged 10-17 involved in the youth justice system.
About This RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about empowering young people and creating positive change. You will play an active role in delivering practical mentoring, group work, and culturally responsive support.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish positive relationships with young people to encourage trust and personal growth.
- Provide trauma-informed support tailored to individual needs.
- Assist young people in transitioning from detention to community life, supporting engagement with family, education, employment, and housing.
- Implement mentoring interventions that improve wellbeing and reduce offending.
- Use the Five Ps framework to connect young people with culturally appropriate services and networks.
- Certificate IV in Youth Work or similar (essential).
- Current Blue Card and National Police Check.
- Queensland Driver license and willingness to travel within the service region.
- Ability to work flexible hours including after-hours and weekends.
