We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Warehouse Transport Operations Manager to lead our team in ensuring safe, compliant, and customer-focused transport operations. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in achieving our delivery goals and maintaining our reputation for exceptional service.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing warehouse and transport operations, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating daily and next-day deliveries, overseeing vehicle loading accuracy, load restraint, and Chain of Responsibility compliance. Additionally, you will liaise with contractors, report operational issues to the Transport Manager, and support scheduling, workforce planning, and delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example to ensure a safe, compliant, and customer-focused transport team
  • Plan and coordinate daily and next-day deliveries to achieve DIFOT (Delivered in Full, On Time) targets
  • Oversee vehicle loading accuracy, load restraint, and Chain of Responsibility compliance
  • Liaise with contractors and report operational issues to the Transport Manager
  • Support scheduling, workforce planning, and delivery operations

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in transport or logistics
  • 1–2 years in a leadership or team leader role (preferred but not essential)
  • Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management, and WHS requirements
  • Safety-first mindset with strong manual handling awareness
  • Customer-focused, solutions-oriented, and highly organized
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team
