We are seeking an experienced Transport Team Leader who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize safety, and support a high-performing delivery team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about customer service and knows how to keep things running smoothly from dock to doorstep.


Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe, compliant, and customer-focused transport team.
  • Plan and coordinate daily and next-day deliveries to achieve DIFOT targets.
  • Oversee vehicle loading accuracy, load restraint, and Chain of Responsibility compliance.
  • Liaise with contractors and report operational issues to the Transport Manager.
  • Support scheduling, workforce planning, and delivery operations.
  • Ensure vehicles, docks, and yard areas are kept safe, clean, and compliant.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and support to your team to lift performance.
  • Contribute to cost efficiency improvements and reduced property/customer damages.
Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience in transport or logistics.
  • 1–2 years in a leadership or team leader role (preferred but not essential).
  • Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management, and WHS requirements.
  • Safety-first mindset with strong manual handling awareness.
  • Customer-focused, solutions-oriented, and highly organized.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
