About The Position

Are you ready to lead from the front, prioritise safety, and support a high-performing delivery team? We're on the lookout for a Transport Team Leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about customer service, and knows how to keep things running smoothly from dock to doorstep.

  • Lead by example to ensure a safe, compliant and customer-focused transport team.
  • Plan and coordinate daily and next-day deliveries to achieve DIFOT (Delivered in Full, On Time) targets.
  • Oversee vehicle loading accuracy, load restraint, and Chain of Responsibility compliance.
  • Liaise with contractors and report operational issues to the Transport Manager.
  • Support scheduling, workforce planning and delivery operations—including Saturdays as required.
  • Ensure vehicles, docks, and yard areas are kept safe, clean and compliant.
  • Provide coaching, feedback and support to your team to lift performance.
  • Contribute to cost efficiency improvements and reduced property/customer damages.
  • Complete ad hoc duties as directed by the Transport Manager.

Shift details:
  • Permanent Full time position.
  • Early start: 4:00am Mon - Fri with Overtime Available.
  • Competitive Base Salary" $65k - $75k + Super.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years' experience in transport or logistics.
  • 1–2 years in a leadership or team leader role (preferred but not essential).
  • Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management and WHS requirements.
  • Safety-first mindset with strong manual handling awareness.
  • Customer-focused, solutions-oriented and highly organised.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Qualifications in Transport, Logistics or Supply Chain (desirable).
  • Experience with appliances, furniture, or bulky items (preferred but not essential).
