**Salary Estimate:** AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience
**Job Description: Lead Corporate Accountant for Pacific Region**
We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified individual to lead our corporate accounting team in the Pacific region. As Lead Corporate Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing financial and tax strategies, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and implementing controls to safeguard company assets.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement financial and tax strategies, while participating in forecasting and budgeting processes
- Oversee all corporate consolidation and accounting for the AAPC Group, including IFRS technical aspects, financial accuracy for subsidiaries and foreign operations, equity accounting, IFRS16 lease accounting, hotel fee accuracy, impairment tests, month-end and year-end processes, ledger entries, intercompany reconciliations, and financial system improvements
- Ensure statutory obligations (tax returns, GST, indirect taxes) for AAPC Limited and its subsidiaries and related entities in Australia are met, with accurate regulatory compliance, tax provision review, and tax planning oversight
- Lead and manage regional finance teams by recruiting and supporting career progression, while ensuring a smooth transition to the Shared Services model
**Requirements:**
- CPA/CA qualification with at least 15 years of experience in accounting and tax
- Ability to achieve expected results within given constraints
- Technical accounting and tax knowledge of IFRS Accounting standards
- Proven ability to lead, guide, motivate, give vision, and assign responsibilities to individuals in the team to achieve company objectives
- Ability to analyze and break down financial data
- Comprehensive knowledge and management of software systems (corporate and group)
- Proven records of delivering statutory accounts in Australia
