Actuarial Analyst Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Actuarial Analyst.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to financial reporting and risk insights while developing skills in a collaborative environment.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will support the delivery of policy liabilities, statutory reporting inputs, and financial condition investigations. You will also assist with enhancing actuarial valuation processes and contributing to strengthening risk management and internal controls.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the delivery of policy liabilities, inputs to Statutory / Life Act reports, financial condition investigations, and profit analysis.
  • Supporting the delivery of robust financial/risk information and strategic insights to stakeholders.
  • Maintenance and enhancement of Actuarial valuation processes considering speed, quality, consistency, and ensuring they meet accounting standards and business requirements.
  • Supporting the strengthening of areas of risk management and internal controls within the Actuarial function, including documentation of processes and enhancements.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • An understanding of (or willingness to learn) actuarial principles, standards, processes, and operations.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to develop logical solutions to problems.
  • Skilled in the use of models and analysis of results.
  • Ability to apply appropriate principles and techniques in model building, including understanding the requirements for (and undertaking) relevant UAT.
  • Proven ability to work proactively with a strong use of initiative.
