Job Description
We are seeking a skilled engineer to join our team and drive the transformation of power systems through intelligent design, data-driven insight, and world-class engineering.

As a Product Application Engineer, you will be responsible for serving as the technical authority on Schneider Electric's protection relay portfolio across Australia. You will partner with sales, presales, and channel teams to deliver best-in-class solutions to our customers.

Your primary duties will include providing technical support, design consultation, and compliance guidance for pre-sales and tender opportunities. You will also lead technical training sessions, workshops, and product demonstrations for both internal teams and external stakeholders. Additionally, you will interpret single-line diagrams, coordinate protection studies, and develop optimized relay settings.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong knowledge of IEC, ANSI, and Australian protection standards. Practical experience with Schneider Electric protection relays or equivalent platforms is also essential. Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience are required. Furthermore, you must be able to align technical solutions with customer needs and contribute to commercial success.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years' experience in protection systems, ideally in the Australian market
  • Strong knowledge of IEC, ANSI, and Australian protection standards
  • Practical experience with Schneider Electric protection relays (or equivalent platforms)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and system design layouts
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience
  • Ability to align technical solutions with customer needs, support value-based selling and contribute to commercial success
