Academic Success Partner

The Academic Success Team at Macquarie University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join their team as an Academic Success Partner.

This role will involve co-leading the design and delivery of curricular and co-curricular programs and services that empower coursework students' academic success. This includes embedding academic, digital and professional literacies in units and courses with academic staff, and delivering concurrent support programs to all students, especially those most at risk.

As an Academic Success Partner, you will have the opportunity to work closely with faculty members and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective strategies for improving student outcomes. You will also be responsible for leading academic, digital, and professional literacies programs to maximise student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-lead the design and delivery of curricular and co-curricular programs and services that empower coursework students' academic success.
  • Embed academic, digital and professional literacies in units and courses with academic staff.
  • Deliver concurrent support programs to all students, especially those most at risk.
  • Lead academic, digital, and professional literacies programs to maximise student success.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualification in education or an academic literacies-related field and/or sustained relevant experience delivering curricular and co-curricular academic success programs and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of the higher education sector, particularly legislative and regulatory requirements relating to academic success and support for students.
  • Knowledge of research and best practice regarding the innovation and optimisation of academic success and support programs.
  • Demonstrated capability to implement, manage, and prioritise the end-to-end delivery of curricular and co-curricular programs in partnership with faculties and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, including the proficiency to evaluate program effectiveness and undertake continuous quality improvement activities to uplift student outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the aptitude to advise and influence key faculty stakeholders and achieve buy-in for academic success programs.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage staff in an exemplary professional, collaborative, and innovative team environment.
