Job Title: Chief Financial Strategist

Role Overview:

The Chief Financial Strategist role presents an opportunity for a highly skilled and self-motivated individual to take on a hands-on position in a small manufacturing company, overseeing the complete financial function within a subsidiary. This is an exciting chance for a well-rounded professional to lead the finance team and assist with the production team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee full-cycle accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash management, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Lead the finance team and collaborate with the production team (Inventory WIP).
  • Prepare and submit statutory reporting requirements mandated by regulatory bodies.
  • Develop and compile budgets and proforma analysis, including interim reporting on results.
  • Manage treasury operations.
  • Oversight of administrative office management.

Long-term Objectives:

  • Grow the finance department as appropriate.
  • Report directly to the Board of Directors.
  • As part of the management team, define and implement business policies and operations.

Requirements:

  • Able to both 'do' and 'analyze'.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience with consolidation and financial statement preparation.
  • 5+ years track record of successful experience in implementing and running entire scope of accounting operations in a small business, reporting to executive management.
  • Experience with Inventory Management.
  • Familiarity and experience with IFRS accounting standards.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering timely, accurate financial information.
  • Certified accountant.
