Job Title: Administrator - Ballarat

About the Role

You will work during school hours, providing administrative support to the operations team in a government organisation based in Ballarat. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • General administrative tasks: filing, photocopying, word processing, and database management.
  • Manage software systems and handle customer service requests.
  • Liaise with suppliers and manage orders for office supplies and staff amenities.
  • Receive and manage deliveries, prepare agendas, and take meeting minutes.
  • Process purchase orders and debtor invoices, and support payroll and staff training coordination.
  • Assist with administrative duties for the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, including event bookings.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent word processing skills and accuracy in data entry, along with demonstrated experience with a wide range of Windows based applications, Content Manager and Pathway is desirable.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new situations, showing initiative in responding to challenging and competing work tasks and demands.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relevant to work activities and work area.
