Trades Assistant Job Description

This role presents an exceptional opportunity to work on the HumeLink project, a significant infrastructure development in regional NSW.

The project involves approximately 365 km of new transmission lines and other infrastructure, making it one of the largest energy infrastructure projects in Australia.

About the Project

The HumeLink project connects Wagga Wagga, Maragle, and Bannaby, enhancing the capacity of Australia's eastern electricity network.

Our team is responsible for substation works, requiring the assistance of tradespeople with tasks such as assembly and dismantling operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist tradespeople with substation works
  • Hand tools to tradespeople and hold tools not immediately required
  • Perform assembly and dismantling operations, such as screwing and bolting
  • Obtain store supplies necessary to complete tasks, including materials and tools
  • Transport tools, materials, and workpieces to and from sites or workbenches
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • White Card
  • Driver's Licence
  • High Risk Work Licence – Work Platform
  • Working at Heights/Confined Spaces
  • High risk work licenses for EWP, forklift, or telehandler (Desirable)
  • Experience working on a substation (preferred)
