Site Engineer Role Overview

The position of Site Engineer is integral to the success of major infrastructure upgrades and replacement projects undertaken by the Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture. The successful candidate will support the Project Engineer/Project Manager in pre-construction, construction, and post-construction stages, providing engineering expertise to ensure timely delivery within safety, quality, cost, and time objectives.

This role covers Albury Wodonga Military Area, Blamey Barracks (Kapooka), and RAAF Base Wagga. Responsibilities include assisting with project management, designing, fabricating, and constructing projects; managing contracting operations for allocated projects against agreed objectives; conducting scoping investigations for scopes of work; preparing site documentation prior to commencement of works; coordinating and supervising work activities over various locations; monitoring expenditure on jobs to ensure cost-effective completion; and reviewing HOTO documentation, such as drawings, ITPs, and images recorded for each project.

Key qualifications for this role include Australian citizenship preferred for Defence site entry requirements; a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree or similar; Graduate Membership of Institution of Engineers Australia or Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand; previous experience as a Site Engineer or Graduate Engineer in a related industry sector; intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office applications; and ability to work productively in a team environment.
