Local Government Opportunity

This role presents an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge of local government operations, work in a hybrid environment, and enjoy a rostered day off approximately every 3 weeks.

The successful candidate will be working as part of the multi-skilled rates and revenue team, performing a variety of tasks including processing sale/transfer notices and changes of address, calculating and processing pensioners rebates, investigating returned rates notices and issuing rates notices, and amending accounts for domestic waste services and invoicing sundry debts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing and managing sales/transfer notices and changes of address
  • Calculating and processing pensioner rebates
  • Investigating returned rates notices and issuing new rates notices
  • Amending accounts for domestic waste services and invoicing sundry debts
Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Higher School Certificate level education or TAFE equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a small team
  • Proficiency in database maintenance
  • Prepare routine correspondence and reports
  • Demonstrated experience in customer communication
