About the Position


This is a First Nations Identified Position - Under Section 50(d) of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act 1984 you must be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander to apply.


The position coordinates effective partnership building with internal and external stakeholders. The position drives positive change to improve community well-being through the development and implementation of strategies that advance social equity, access, and inclusion.


Key Responsibilities



  • Coordinate and lead the development and delivery of programs, services, activities, and events that are consistent with community needs and the strategic direction of the City of Stirling.
  • Facilitate change to ensure more inclusive and sustainable programs that reflect community needs for the Reconciliation Action Plan, Access and Inclusion Plan, current and emerging City social plans and strategies.
  • Establish and cultivate effective partnerships with agencies, community organisations, and key stakeholders to achieve positive community development and empowerment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify shared objectives and opportunities for partnerships in social impact initiatives.
  • Monitor and measure the impact and effectiveness of programs through data collection and evaluation techniques.

  • Relevant tertiary degree or demonstrated equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to respond to the needs and aspirations of the community.
  • Highly developed skills and demonstrated experience in developing, monitoring, and evaluating community development projects, strategic frameworks, and operational plans.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, organising, and executing initiatives within defined timelines and budgets.
  • Extensive knowledge of social issues, global trends, and best practices in social impact and community development.

This maximum term part-time position is a Level 7 (Inside Workforce Agreement) which attracts a salary from $96, to $101, gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation.

  • A copy of Australian driving licence.
  • National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months).
  • Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance.
  • The right to work in Australia.
