About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Director of Finance to lead our finance function in Australia and New Zealand. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving commercial strategy, business development, and financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy and Decision Support: Collaborate closely with our leadership team to drive commercial strategy, business development, and financial decision-making. Oversee the governance of our business, ensuring control integrity and maintaining policy and statutory compliance.
  • Business Information and Analytics: Ensure our business has the necessary financial information and forward-looking analysis to guide decision-making. Lead accurate pipeline management for our region through our client management system.
  • Finance and Commercial Operations: Hold overall accountability for delivering all financial operational activities, including lead-to-cash, source-to-pay, record-to-report, hire-to-retire, and cash management. Manage the monthly and annual accounting processes for our in-market business units.
  • Finance Expertise Functions: Ensure financial and regulatory compliance across all legal entities in Australia and New Zealand, including timely local statutory accounting filings and adherence to regulations. Collaborate with external auditors and advisors while ensuring alignment with global policies.
  • Business Services Leadership: As a key member of our Business Services team, serve on our Career Development Committee and help shape our business services policy decisions. Collaborate closely with our Business Services Executive team on headcount and broader budget planning.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 15 years of applicable experience
  • Proven leadership experience within professional services or similarly structured environments
  • Experience interfacing with clients in areas such as procurement and collections
  • Expertise in strategy and planning, including developing annual and long-range plans
  • Proficiency in client contracting, investments, billings, collections, and negotiation support
  • Strong background in financial and management accounting, as well as performance reporting
  • Familiarity with compliance with firm policies and local regulatory and tax requirements
  • Experience embedding risk management within the finance function
  • Strong academic foundations, preferably with qualifications in Accounting (CA/CPA), Finance, or MBA
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
