We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Director to join our team at Vic Grid, a leading organization in the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Vic Grid's financial matters and providing expert advice to the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead the financial management of Vic Grid, including the implementation, monitoring, and review of financial systems, policies, and procedures.
- Lead and manage a customer-focused team responsible for all financial transactions, monitoring, and reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, Departmental, and professional standards, including the Financial Management Act and the Directions of the Minister for Finance.
- Develop and implement a compelling vision for the financial management and strategy that aligns with the vision, mission, business, and organizational objectives of Vic Grid.
- Demonstrated financial literacy skills, including a working knowledge of Government budget and financial policies and processes.
- A strong track record of achievement in developing and maintaining highly effective financial management processes, preferably within a government environment.
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or other related discipline is mandatory.
- A member of either CPA Australia or the Institute of Chartered Accountants or other relevant organization is mandatory.
