About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our Positive Behaviour Support division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing clinical services to NDIS participants aged 0-65, working across early intervention, school age, adolescent and adult services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and observe participants' challenging behaviours and work towards increasing skills, improving emotion regulation, and introducing replacement behaviours to reduce the use of restrictive practices.
  • Develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans and assessments, focusing on increasing a person's quality of life, including improving their skills and enhancing their independence.
  • Work collaboratively with allied health practitioners, support workers, and family members to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Provide training and regular follow-up and review to ensure the successful implementation of PBS plans.
Requirements
  • Qualifications in Psychology, Counselling, Behaviour Analysis, Teaching, Social Work, Social Sciences, Criminology, Childhood Education & Care, Health Science, or Allied Health.
  • NDIS Registration as a Behaviour Practitioner or the ability to become registered.
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other complex diagnoses.
  • A car and licence.
  • A National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
