Specialist Behaviour Support Professional

CareSouth seeks a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our Clinical Services team in Wagga Wagga on a permanent part-time basis, working 3 days a week. As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering behaviour support services to families, children, young people, and adults with various disabilities and therapeutic needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deliver, monitor, and evaluate behaviour support services
- Collaborate with participants, families, and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
- Utilise data collection tools, analyse information, and prepare reports for relevant stakeholders
- Implement therapeutic behavioural support strategies within CareSouth's trauma-informed framework
- Work effectively with various stakeholders, including participants, families, Local Area Coordinators, and government agencies
- Apply positive behaviour support principles, including functional behaviour assessment, intervention, and service delivery practices
- Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, and risk management frameworks
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, nursing, or a relevant clinical field
- Current registration with AHPRA or eligibility for registration with the relevant state body
- Eligibility to provide Specialist Intervention Behaviour Support and NDIS services
- Ability to work in a trauma-informed framework and apply positive behaviour support principles
- Experience working in clinical governance, quality improvement, and risk management frameworks
