Mail Machine Technician Job Description

The role involves troubleshooting and maintaining complex mailing equipment to ensure smooth production operations.

This includes setting up, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on various machines such as sorters, conveyors, strappers, and wrappers. Ensuring cleanliness of machines and components is also a key aspect of the job.

In addition, the technician will disassemble machines, remove parts for replacement or repair, examine broken machine parts, and identify defective parts or recommend repair requirements to supervisors.

The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining, repairing, or installing mailing equipment or comparable machinery, with excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical and electrical ability.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in maintaining, repairing, or installing mailing equipment or comparable machinery
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under deadlines
  • Mechanical and electrical ability, basic Microsoft Windows or Linux skills
