Preventative Maintenance Specialist

A highly skilled Preventative Maintenance Specialist is required to oversee the regular upkeep of heat treat equipment and furnaces, inventory management, and preventative maintenance programs. This role will be responsible for implementing preventative maintenance initiatives and hiring a support team.

  • Maintain, diagnose, and repair all process and facility equipment and machinery.
  • Create and maintain preventative maintenance schedules, including repairs and calibrations.
  • Fabricate equipment or components, which may include carpentry, forming, bending, rigging, and welding.
  • Oversee all aspects of equipment and facility operations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Hire and supervise additional staff as needed.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • An associates degree or certificate in engineering preferred but not required.
  • At least 2 years of maintenance experience, ideally in a heat treat or similar plant environment.
  • Demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work extended hours and/or weekends occasionally.
  • Valid forklift certification.
