Procurement Specialist

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring procurement processes are executed effectively and efficiently across the organisation.
Responsibilities Include:- Coordinating comprehensive tender and procurement activities.
- Supporting contract management and maintaining legislative compliance.
- Providing probity advice and guidance to stakeholders throughout the Council.
- Delivering staff training on procurement systems and best practices.
- Maintaining detailed contract and supplier registers, along with performance reporting.
- Promoting strategic procurement decisions that drive efficiency, quality, and value for money.
Applicants should possess strong knowledge of tendering, contract documentation, and procurement systems. Ability to interpret legislation and provide clear, actionable advice is essential. Experience with contract management platforms, particularly Open Windows, is desirable. Strong project coordination and stakeholder engagement skills are required.
Transferable skills from similar roles or industries are welcome. A genuine interest in procurement and contract management is key to success. Training and support will be provided to ensure you excel in this field.
