Our organization seeks a dedicated professional to provide family dispute resolution services to families experiencing conflict and unable to reach agreements about children or property.

About the Role

This permanent part-time position offers 21 hours of work per week, with flexible hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9am-5pm, and Thursdays from 10am-6pm at our Counselling and Mediation Centre in Penrith. As a mediator, you will facilitate family dispute resolution services to support individuals and their families through difficult times.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Be accredited by the Australian Attorney-General's Department as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner or be eligible for accreditation.
  • Possess tertiary qualifications in law, psychology, or social work.
  • Have an understanding of child inclusive mediation practice and knowledge of family law legislation.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of community services, especially those relating to families experiencing relationship difficulties.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and contribute to the functioning of the team.
