Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments.

Duties

  • Visual Inspection and Testing: Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Malfunction Detection: Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
  • Machine Repair and Maintenance: Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts, clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Electrical and Pipe System Installation: Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment. Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Physical Structure Maintenance: Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
  • Automated Machinery Operation: Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
  • Machine Tool Operation: Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
  • Welding and Fabrication: Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts, and fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.

Requirements

  1. Industrial Maintenance Experience: Minimum 2 years industrial maintenance experience, including machine repair and preventative maintenance. Prior experience in metal fabrication industry is a plus.
  2. Valid Driver's License: Valid driver's license and insurance.
  3. Clean Driving Record: Clean driving record to operate company truck.
  4. Flexibility: Ability to work weekdays and weekend overtime.
